SESSIONS is heading to Phuket – long established as Thailand’s most popular island destination, but now reinventing itself with a new wave of Michelin star restaurants, beautiful beach bars, boutique resorts and new initiatives in sustainability and healthcare tourism.

 

Join us at Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort, with its vernacular architecture nestled gently between tropical gardens and a beautiful sandy cove on the Andaman Sea.

 

A stunning art installation / sculpture in rattan – created especially for Sleeper Sessions by Patrick Keane of ENTER Projects – will be unveiled at our opening ‘Phuket-Fest’ on the beach. A plethora of event spaces, beachfront bars, and relaxed restaurants will then provide the backdrop to two days’ of business opportunities for our guests. Connect via our curated SYNC meetings programme and the spontaneous connections made through our intimate and informal SOCIAL networking sessions.

 

Our SYMPOSIA seminars are crammed full of storytellers with their own Thai tales to tell. For our opening keynote, Minor majordomo and founding father of the Phuket hospitality scene William Heinecke charts his path from running a resort on the beaches of Thailand to owning one of the world’s largest and most influential hospitality companies. Michael Wang of Apara Hotel Design & Project Management will explore new trends in AI and the disruptive forces shaping design in today’s world.

 

Joy Natapa of Dusit International will give the inside track on the launch of new lifestyle brand ASAI and the reimagining of its iconic flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok on a panel alongside two of the continent’s leading hospitality designers, Matthew Shang of MSDO and Bernard of Threaded Creatives.

 

Get the deep dive on travel trends, pipeline and performance with ‘insider, advisor and changemaker’ Bill Barnett of C9 Hotelworks.

Finally, we hear from senior design executives at leading hotel groups Accor, Hilton and Hyatt to gain unique insight into their strategic plans, and what they need from designers and FF&E suppliers to deliver those plans.
