For specifiers and suppliers in hospitality experience and design

ABOUT

SESSIONS is a series of events connecting the people creating exceptional hospitality projects around the world, organised by Sleeper Magazine.

Hosted at intimate, exclusive resort locations, SESSIONS is a platform for sharing ideas, specifying products, and sourcing projects.

Each event is a three day residential retreat where guests can re-energise, re-focus and re-imagine the future of hospitality.

It’s a forum for suppliers to meet specifiers actively working on current hotel projects. A place where specifiers can find the solutions to help them deliver outstanding hotels for client and customer alike. And a community of industry leaders making connections, identifying business opportunities and finding inspiration.

SESSIONS offers global perspectives on design, architecture, sustainability, development, gastronomy and craft, all refracted through a specifically local lens.

Our programme comprises a series of meetings, seminars, workshops and networking events organised around five key pillars:

Speaker-driven sessions providing thought-provoking content, inspirational insights, in-depth analysis and leftfield ideas

Quickfire meetings between FF&E specifiers and suppliers to discuss upcoming projects, learn about new products, and foster new business relationships. Our programme then allows ample time and space to follow up these introductory meetings with deeper explorations in more relaxed surroundings.

Optional breakouts and workshops throughout the two days offering extra nourishment for body, mind and soul. SUSTENANCE Sessions enable more meaningful connections between guests through shared experiences. Previous activities have included primeval pit fired pottery and philosophical conversations in Greece, bamboo building on the beach in Danang, explorations of concrete as a material for craft and creativity in Croatia, and rattan weaving, batik painting and Buddhist meditation in Phuket.

Informal networking opportunities from sublime sunset drinks and divine dinners, to off-the-hook after-parties and off-the-beaten track excursions. Previous events have seen our guests enjoy such memorable experiences as a boat cruise to abandoned resorts along the Croatian coastline, wandering the ancient alleyways of Hoi An in Vietnam, a disco in a secret socialist-era bunker, a beachfront mini-festival in Thailand and closing dinners at legendary beach clubs such as Scorpios Mykonos and Café del Mar Phuket.

Harnessing the latest pipeline data from our partners THP, and Sleeper Magazine’s relationships with leading hospitality consultants, these succinct seminars give insight and analysis of the latest trends in hotel development from industry experts such as Savills, PKF, and Horwath HTL.
