A TRANSFORMATIVE IMMERSION EXPLORING LONGEVITY, REGENERATION, WELLNESS AND BEYOND

Much more than a resort hotel, our host venue for Sessions #8 – Potato Head Bali – is an ongoing festival of ideas, culture, art, wellness, design, gastronomy, mixology and sustainability. Or as they put it “a creative playground that embodies the world we want to live in, create, and dream in.”

Its ethos of ‘good times do good’ will be reflected in our programme, which is being carefully crafted in collaboration with Potato Head’s in-house creative team and activated across multiple spaces woven throughout the Desa, a village concept and community hub.

Your SESSIONS experience will allow you to fully explore this iconic beachfront property that has been at the forefront of innovation in hospitality for the past 15 years.

Sessions guests will benefit from exclusive access to Potato Head’s daily rituals, world-renowned beach club and co-working spaces, with opportunities to sample its multiple restaurants and bars, and attend private gatherings in its hidden corners.

Our app-enabled SYNC sessions will take place across two multi-functional meeting spaces – Studio Eksotika and The Gallery. Our SYNC meetings schedule engineers one-to-one encounters between suppliers for many of the world’s leading design brands, and the specifiers responsible for a plethora of new hotel projects in development across Asia Pacific and beyond.

Our SYMPOSIA talks see us dive into Klymax Discotheque – a state-of-the-art venue designed in collaboration with world-renowned DJ Harvey – for a full immersion in speaker-led conversations. Setting the scene for a series of dialogues through which wellness and sustainability will provide the golden threads, is former Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs. Neil will open our talks with his thoughts on the future of hospitality and his new venture, Wild Origins.

Potato Head’s Creative Director Dan Mitchell will ‘Decode The Desa’ to explain the ethos underpinning our host venue, whilst introducing the creative practitioners who will lead our SUSTENANCE workshop programme.

We will explore new frontiers in longevity, wellness and regeneration, hearing from pioneers at the forefront of this fast-growing sector. Leading figures from some of the region’s key players – including Verena Haller, Global Head of Design & Creative Services at Hyatt, Marc Schicker of Geonet, Catherine Chan of Marriott’s Global Design Strategy team, and Samuel Ding, Senior Vice President of Design & Technical Services for Capella – will offer insight into how these trends can be woven into luxury and lifestyle developments.

Ross Woods, Founder and CEO of Hotel Investment Strategies – a Bali resident and respected industry commentator – will enlighten us on the hospitality paradox of “growth eroding value” and the necessary shifts required to counter over-tourism and resource depletion.

From a welcoming ritual upon arrival, through a behind-the-scenes tour of Potato Head’s industry-leading recycling initiatives, to a climactic closing party in Klymax, SESSIONS Bali promises to be a transformational and memorable experience for all who attend.
